Randomizer Elite for Android
A really terrific app for making a decision within the family!
I already paid for the pro version which is now abandoned. I bought elite b/c i thought it would solve the editing of existing lists issue. It kind of does, but to save an edited list you have to type out the name and replace old list, really?? Why would you not provide a simple save button? Annoying, and I had to pay for a new version for this "upgrade"? Will i have to purchase the platinum version that adds a quick-save button?
This app is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I cycle my calories and carbs, and I did not want to have to decide how I wanted to set up my cycles every week. This app does that for me precisely how I want it to. I absolutely love it.
I'm a school teacher and I have used Randomizer Elite to pick students instead of drawing popsicle sticks with student names to decide whose turn it is. My students love to shake my cell phone to select the next reader or see who gets to run an errand for me. The Elite version great because I can use the gradual random picker to select student names from my saved class list and once that student has been selected, he won't be chosen again until I reset the list. Another new feature I like is the number selector. I always ask the kids to choose a number between 1 and 100. This app picks the number and kids love to have the control to push the button. It sure solves a lot of disputes! Well worth the money!
I like using it for games and deciding stuff when I can't make up my mind. The number randomizer is the most useful for games. My favorite use so far is for games with my friends like to see what home you'll live in or how many kids you'll have. Definitely saves paper and the shaking option adds extra fun.
This is still essentially the free version. I can save lists, but I can't load them. I still have to manually create the list to use the elite version! I'm going back to the free version.

I was looking for something to help me decide what to read out of my massive backlog. The save function is great, and the app is very friendly and easy to use. Only two things: I'd love to be able to import a list from a txt file, and I'd like to be able to alphabetize and number my list as well as randomize it. Thanks for a great app!
