The sounds sound nothing like they do in class. And they're kind of muffled.

This app has great information and I love the quiz. It would be perfect though if the quiz had the sound along with where the placement of the stethoscope is to differentiate, or the ability to move a a stethoscope to the different areas of the chest. Even better would be options of different maneuvers to increase or decrease the sound intensity ie valsalva, hand grip, squatting.

Probably should have spent the extra buck and got the full app; it is well designed, works reasonably well although I did notice one error on the quiz: a lung sound, fine rales, was said to be bronchial sounds. The two are easily distinguishable, so it does make you wonder how accurate the far finer distinctions of heart sounds answers are. I am a PA with cardiology exp and always find a decent review of basics helpful. Great for students.Hearing it, while maybe not 100% true to life, is still big help.

What's claimed to be MVP sounds like diastolic opening snap (ms), and AR sounds like late diastolic (prob also MS). Could have a few more examples for quiz (eg variations on same murmurs). Otherwise good primer.
