World travel may be the most amazing way to spend your time. Exploring your home country is great, but one can only truly get a real feeling for what this world is by experiencing it's many countries, states, cities, villages, and homes. Whether for leisure, business, or a little of both, we can all agree that there is nothing quite as exhilarating as world travel. But, even though we love to travel, we don't love the inability to communicate that comes along with it. In some places we can get by with knowing only a few choice terms such as "thank you" and "where's the bathroom". However, in many places throughout the world, it can be nearly impossible to communicate without being able to speak the language. However, it's not plausible to learn the language in every country we visit. So that's why we created Trippi. Trippi stands for "Travel Hippie" and it's a revolutionary app that effectively breaks down the language barrier piece by piece, until we can all communicate with ease. Trippi is, at it's heart, a translator. But, unlike many translators available today, Trippi doesn't just let you translate one line of text at a time, Trippi translates your conversation. Here's how it works:
When you press the Trippi logo on Trippi's main screen, you start the "Tripp." You speak in clear, concise English, and Trippi translates your text into one of several languages that come installed with Trippi (we're constantly adding new ones every week). Trippi will then read the translated text to your conversation partner in their language, in a perfectly honed accent. As soon as the translation has been read to your partner, they will be able to speak, in their language, without pressing a single button, and Trippi will translate the text accurately and smoothly back into English. The Tripp can go on as long as you want, with Trippi speaking perfectly in each of your individual languages until you say "end Tripp" into Trippi. Once you do that, all of the Tripp will be removed and you can start anew.
