About Red Telescope Flashlight

When you're working at night, the last thing you need is to temporarily lose your night vision by looking at a bright LED flashlight. By using this red flashlight, you'll maintain your night vision and be able to see what you're doing.

This is a red flashlight app that does NOT use the LED. It uses the phone's display to emit different shades of red (from bright red to dark maroon) to black (backlight only) to full white. The phone can lock into each color setting.

Perfect for astronomy, photography, and working in the dark.

Again: Does NOT use the LED as a flashlight. That's why this app is red and awesome.

Great for close working

I would recommend cf lumen instead. It allows you to overlay colors over all apps, and I use it every night to limit blue light.

This is great

Yes, this creates a red-light flashlight, yay. However, since you have to go thru the usual clicks on your usual screens to launch the app, it didn't actually preserve your night vision at all. I guess I was hoping for more.

A very simple app, but knows pretty much for astronomy. I haven't found yet a better light app to the telescope!

Q70%

Very useful in the pitch black.

Red and not too bright as to blow your night visibility. I use it around the telescope or just to wake the dog and get her out of the hutch and getting her outside pre-dawn keeping both the dogs and my night vision nominal. Thanks Sal, this works perfect!

Simple idea for an app that meets a need. Thanks for sharing!

T70%

why does it need WiFi or media access?

T70%

It give me red light when i need it, and then very small amounts of light when i want that, and then FULL ON white light when I need real brightness. Doesn't use the flash, which is too much light, plus i have other tools that do that. App is a bit simple and a bit ugly, but it's functional and stable and easy to use.
