About Calling Students in classrooms
This "Calling Students in classrooms" app is for school administrators (principals and assistant principals) in Elementary, Middle and High schools. It can be used for public and private schools.
In the typical school, teaching is constantly being interrupted by calls from the main office for students through the speaker. It is loud and quite disruptive. With this app, schools can significantly reduce that constant disruption and create a better learning environment for students. Instead of calling into the classroom, the office can simply send the teacher a text message with the request.
If the teacher is teaching, a simple beep would alert the teacher of the text. If the teacher is doing something at the desk while the students are working, the text will be received with very little disruption and the message given to the student.
The teacher should also respond to the text in the following manner:
1. An empty reply message means that the student is in the class and is on the way to the office.
2. A "Y" or "Yes" reply message also means that the student is on the way to the office.
3. An "N" or "No" reply message means that the student is not in the class.
4. An "X" reply message means that there is a problem. That problem could one of the follwoing:
a. Something is not clear about the message.
b. The student cannot come right now..
c. The caller should use the regular system to call the teacher.
