By creating interesting things, players can earn "Robux" (our virtual currency in robux) to buy avatar accessories, additional skills in the game, or more tools and materials to build with.

As a social platform more and more to play, Roblox gives players a safe and moderate place to meet, play, chat and collaborate on creative projects. If this is desired, they can even learn how to build and code immersion experiences for others, all at their own pace.



Roblox is educational?

There is a well-known theory called "constructionism", asked for the first time by Seymour Papert of the MIT Media Lab, which states that children learn best when they are active and genius designer, and this learning is accelerating when they assume these functions in a forum public. We support this theory.

We have found that many of our members are deeply committed to building complex structures and solving difficult problems when they know that the fruits of their work will be seen and criticized by others. Our platform offers a free development engine that allows players to create anything from simple drag-and-drop construction experiments to complex multiplayer games. Millions of kids have used our tools to imagine what one wants to become a detail mogul overnight, competing as a professional racing driver, solve a murder mystery or simply build a dream home and hang out with friends. The level of creativity that our players play, and the time and attention they dedicate to the construction, never surprises us.


robux is a platform that allows UGC players to imagine, create and play together in a family environment. This means that we take the safety and privacy of the children very seriously.

We are committed to full compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to ensure the privacy of users of 12 years and to prevent the exchange of personal information through chat messages or on the game. Although users age 13 and older can adjust more account settings and have a wider vocabulary list, Robux uses a filtering system and moderation to help players stay secure and prevent the exchange of identifying information personal.

On 02/03/17, we added additional features that will further enhance our children's security initiatives:

Parental controls that allow parents to leave chat capability.
The visibility of age so that parents can easily determine the settings for their children are appropriate for the age.
Tighter controls for chat under 13s restrict a wider range of words.
The expansion of moderation to a more aggressive elimination of games and content with a behavior we will not tolerate.
Improving our guidelines for our developer community in terms of content and experiences that are not allowed in their games.
We also allow parents to allow an adjustment on behalf of their children that will allow them to access only an organized list of games appropriate for the age of those under 13 years. This feature can be adjusted from the Security tab "Account Limits" on the Account Settings page.

All downloaded images, videos and audio files are first reviewed by appropriate content moderators before being allowed on the site. Moderation is constantly connected by reviewing abuse reports.
