About Adverse Drug RxnPreventability
An adverse drug reaction (ADR) is an appreciably harmful or unpleasant reaction, resulting from an intervention related to the use of a medicinal product, which predicts hazard from future administration and warrants prevention or specific treatment, or alteration of the dosage regimen, or withdrawal of the product (Edwards and Aronson, 2000).
This app was designed to assist medical professionals to assess the preventability of suspected ADRs experienced by their patients. This app uses a method developed by Schumock and Thornton (1992). It helps medical professionals rate how preventable is the ADR experienced by their patient.
This app does not collect any information. Any suspected ADR should be reported to the relevant monitoring agency.
