The Institute of Educational Technology is an integral part of the Allama Iqbal Open University which came into existence with the establishment of the University formerly called as People’s Open University of Pakistan in 1974. The objective behind its establishment was to design, develop and disseminate educational electronic course-ware in support of University courses for the benefit of distant learners as a core strategy of blended learning of Open & Distance Education system.
