This App enables the user to listen to the promises of God being read out from the Holy Bible. The App covers selected promises of God under the following themes: “Jesus Is Lord”, “God Is Love”, “God Is Merciful”, “God Is Faithful” and “Power Belongs To God”. More themes will be introduced in subsequent versions. The scripture verses are read and presented in a way to facilitate assimilation and usage on the Go. The contents of this App are suitable for all Christians of different ages. The user may scroll through the “Notifications” while listening to the reading of the promises of God.
This App is useful for all Christians to have. It is meant to help those who are interested in their spiritual growth and well-being. The App provides an immediate and on-the-Go resource for a Christian to grow and abide in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the “vine” (John 15). By listening, over and over again, to the promises of God as they are being read, the Christian learns to abide in Jesus Christ through what he or she hears. This is a way of bringing glory to God and as a result, users subsequently bear fruit so that their joy may be full and their fruit remain. The App is best described as an audio-book on the promises of God.
The interface is easy to navigate thereby providing a fulfilling experience for the user. Each promise takes between 5 – 8 seconds to read. An interlude is introduced between one reading and the next so as to facilitate user’s assimilation of the material. The screens are programmed not to shut down for at least 3 minutes. This is to stop the screen from blanking out during the reading of the promises.
Each screen is presented as a page made-up of the labels (text), background animation and an accompanying audio jukebox. Using the appropriate controls on the jukebox, the user may choose to listen to all or part of any of the promises as many times as desirable. The green button of the jukebox activates the looping of the promises being read while the red button deactivates it.
The use of this App reduces stress for all Christians since, it provides the user an alternative way (other than reading) of enhancing spiritual growth. Thus, the user’s spiritual ego is being improved upon by listening to the promises of God on the Go either while jogging, driving, entertaining, exercising, commuting in the bus or train, walking or sitting at the park or whatever activities he or she may be engaged in.
