About MME Calculator
Using the centers for disease control opioid morphine equivalent conversion factors this app assists medical personal to quickly calculate the morphine milli-equivalence per day of a patient that is taking multiple opioid medications. The method of calculation of 1 drug is as followed.
(drug opioid factor) x (drug strength) x (units/day)
As far as we know this list will include all opioid medications from Buprenorphine to Tramadol. Includes all methods of administer, from patches to tabs. The app also contains all known manufactured strengths of these medications.
This app is able to accommodate for up to 10 different opioid medications that a patient maybe taking at the same time. A warning of a yellow background color will signify a MME of 120 and maybe high for some patients. A stronger warning of a red background color will signify a MME of 200 and can be dangerous for patients to take this amount. Discretion is left to the medical personal and there to assist medical staff of possible high opioid dosing.
