This handy little app will calculate the Fire Danger Index (FDI), and also give indications as to fire behaviour, based on the McArthur Fire Danger Meter Mk5.
Using basic weather data you can quickly calculate the FDI, and with additional information such as fuel load and slope of ground the app will provide you with estimates as to flame height, rate of spread, and spotting distance.

The screen doesn't fit lager sized androids like the razr the image appears reduced in the top right corner of the display. The calculations appear interesting may need to play with it more.

As a professional fire manager this is really handy. Works fine on a Galaxy S3. Would be really cool if you could Bluetooth it to a Kestrel weather meter.

Yet to test this in a real time scenario but it seems to work really well. Fits the screen of my Nexus 7 well.
