AuSocialLab

AuSocialLab is a full social and communications apps leveraging ABA therapy and speech therapy methods to teach young children and children with Autism. The app is focused on a fun and open environment and is meant for caregivers, teachers to work with the students. The app creates a fun and easy going way for children to develop social communications skills and become more comfortable with using their vocabulary as it increases.

Favorite Feature:
• “AuBot” is our conversational robot friend that leverages low level artificial intelligence to interact with the children
• The app features breaks for “stimming” guided by “AuBot”
• Phrases to build vocabulary and social skills
• Timing to build attention span and patience
• Language practice using multiple categories and scenarios

IEP GOALS:
• Increased social interaction using “Manding”
• Building and recognizing sentences
• Counting and recognizing numbers

Special Science And Theory:
• Touch interaction along with views, improves engagement and coordination
• We’ve specifically chosen a color scheme, based on how the mind sees the color and frequency spectrum and reacts to it, visual perception and the brain are very important to stimulus
• We’ve improved by specifying and encouraging stim breaks, alerted by voice and vibrations
