FAQ
------
Q: What's with the banner while TurnTimer is running?
A: When TurnTimer is running (that is, the timers are actively counting down) a banner is displayed every ten seconds to let you know it's still alive. The screen stays on while it's running too.
Q: Does TurnTimer continue working when the screen is off?
A: Sorry no, this is a known limitation.
Q: The interface is a bit 'functional' isn't it?
A: It certainly is! TurnTimer was created using MIT App Inventor, which is an amazing platform to create Android Apps, but has limitations, and beautifully animated interfaces is probably one of them.
Q: I set the time to 1.50 and expected 1 minute and 30 seconds, how come I got 1 minute and 50 seconds?
A: Time input is simply mm.ss; minutes before the decimal, seconds after.
Q: So 1.61 = 121 seconds?
A: Precisely. You could also enter 2.01 and get the same result. With TurnTimer: you're the boss of arithmetic.
Q: I want the time to go up by a certain amount every turn, is that possible?
A: Yes, just enable 'Increment' and add a time below the relevant turn.
Q: Can the time go *down* every turn?
A: Sure, just enter a negative value in the increment box.
Q: This app looks weird on my device, have you tested it on the Droid-o-matic4000HD?
A: As of v1.0 TurnTimer has been primarily validated on Google Nexus 4 Jelly Bean. If it looks strange on your device, please let me know.
Q: The sounds it makes when the turn changes sounds like the seatbelt sign in an airliner.
A: That's no strictly a question, but yes, yes it does.
