Two Loci 2.0

Two loci is an application for mobile devices that solves problems of Genetics. Two loci solves crossbreeding problems in which two independent loci that are located on different chromosomes or on the same chromosome but far away are segregating. The loci can be of molecular markers (minisatellites, microsatellites, RFLPs, RAPDs, ISSRs, et ..) or morphological markers.
The application solves various types of crosses: testcrosses, F2, cases where both loci segregate 1: 2: 1 (codominance), cases where a locus segregates 3: 1 (complete dominance) and the other 1: 2: 1 (codominance), cases where four alleles are segregating at the same locus, etc.
In the initial screen mating type we want to analyze is selected. Also can be selected to review the theory necessary to understand the principle of independent combination of Mendel, exercises problems or conduct a self-evaluation.
Each screen contains a type of crossing. The observed number of descendants of each type are introduced on the corresponding screen and the application will calculate whether the two loci segregate properly and perform chi-square test of independence and contingency to check if both loci are independent.
