PiggyBank

PiggyBank is an app that aims to help high school students become better managers of their own money. The app helps students become more fiscally aware with its customizable monthly budget and spending logs. The easy-to-use and convenient app is here to help students become responsible for their spending and prepare them for their futures.

The Piggybank app was created with the purpose of helping high school students develop healthy spending habits and to understand the value and importance of money. This is done through providing a simple platform for them to keep track and log their daily expenses, as well as sort them into personalized categories. Through actively recording and viewing their daily purchases, students will be able to budget their money more effectively to become a more financially responsible individual.

Users will be able to see how much of their budget they have left after subtracting the money spent, and organize their entries into separate personal categories that can be customized, such as for food, social events, and recreation.

This app was built using the MITAppInventor by high school students who know the struggles of managing their wallets, and who wish to help find a solution to these problems.
