ABG Classification

This application provides medical professionals and students with a guide and aid to determine the arterial blood gas classification of laboratory results. The classification aids in the diagnosis of oxygen and acid base disorders of patients and as a guide to possible treatment. The application not only provides the basic classification but also a description and potential clinical conditions associated with the arterial blood gas results to aid the practitioner in their analysis of the arterial blood gas laboratory results.

This is a good clinical tool but can also be used for educational purposes to demonstrate how altered arterial blood gas results and classifications represent different clinical conditions. Also to aid in education educational videos and a vector analysis methodology are taught and tools provided for practitioners within the application to aid in the learning process.

This tool is not a substitute for sound medical expertise and cannot be used as the basis for medical treatment or advice.
