deciphering recycling

Many people in the world use plastic items every day, but not all people who use plastic understand what the plastic resin code means and which plastics can be recycled. I identified this as an environmental science problem which needed to be solved, because when plastic is not recycled it can end up in landfills and also can seriously harm the environment. My solution to help solve this problem was to develop an app to easily give this information to people. I learned how to design and develop an app by doing this project. This project is an innovation which has led to the development of a working app to teach people about the plastic resin code and what it means as well as information about plastic and recycling plastic.
