A Nova Bíblia Viva

Lançada em 1981, a Bíblia Viva foi a primeira edição brasileira da Bíblia Sagrada a contar com linguagem simplificada e de fácil compreensão.

Ela foi concebida de acordo com os princípios de tradução que serviram de base para a pioneira Living Bible (EUA, 1971).

O apelo da Bíblia Viva foi imediato, principalmente entre jovens e pessoas recém-convertidas ao cristianismo que desconheciam os termos eruditos e as construções sintáticas formais das versões bíblicas mais antigas.

Para muitos leitores, abrir a Bíblia Viva passou a ser como respirar, pela primeira vez, o ar puro da compreensão.

Duas razões motivaram esta revisão, empreendida em comum acordo entre a Sociedade Bíblica Internacional e a Editora Mundo Cristão. Em primeiro lugar, a língua portuguesa do Brasil é dinâmica, como todos os idiomas modernos, e muda de modo incremental e constante de acordo com os hábitos de uso do publico que fala, lê, ouve e escreve.

Percebemos que na Bíblia Viva havia elementos de linguagem já ultrapassados. O que era moderno e comunicativo no início dos anos 1980 já não era necessariamente tão expressivo.

Havia a necessidade de trazer a Bíblia efetivamente para o século 21. Em segundo lugar, determinamos a necessidade de trazer algumas opções semânticas e sintáticas da primeira edição a um alinhamento maior com as línguas originais das Escrituras.

Como resultado, a Nova Bíblia Viva é tão simples e fácil de entender como sempre, e agora está ainda mais fiel aos originais redigidos em hebraico, aramaico e grego.

Houve outras alterações. Na primeira edição, a indicação de versículos seguia a lógica da unidade de pensamento. Em vez de indicar versículos individuais, era feita a sinalização de blocos de versículos (ex.: 1-4, 12-15).

Na Nova Bíblia Viva, a divisão em parágrafos adequados foi mantida, mas foram inseridos os números de versículos de acordo com a divisão tradicional.

Houve também uma nova diagramação de texto, com fonte sem serifa para maximizar a quantidade de texto por página e ao mesmo tempo tornar mais agradável a experiência da leitura.

O que o leitor recebe agora, portanto, é uma Bíblia de leitura agradável e fácil entendimento, como foi a edição de 1981, agora reconfigurada para os dias atuais.

A Palavra de Deus é muito mais que um registro histórico de documentos da antiguidade. Contém nada menos que a vontade revelada de Deus para todos os seus filhos. Na Nova Bíblia Viva, sua palavra se torna mais clara que nunca.

Launched in 1981, the Living Bible was the first Brazilian edition of the Holy Bible to rely on simplified language and easy to understand.

It was designed according to the principles of translation that served as a basis for pioneering Living Bible (USA, 1971).

The appeal of the Living Bible was immediate, especially among young and newly converted to Christianity who were unaware of the terms and scholars formal syntactic constructs of the oldest Bible versions people.

For many readers, open the Living Bible has become like breathing for the first time, the pure air of understanding.

Two reasons motivated this review, undertaken by mutual agreement between the International Bible Society and the Christian World Publisher. Firstly, the Portuguese language in Brazil is dynamic, as all modern languages, and changes incrementally and steadily according to the usage habits of public speaking, reading, listening and writing.

We realized that there were elements in the Living Bible outdated language. What was modern and communicative in the early 1980s was no longer necessarily so expressive.

There was a need to bring the Bible into the 21st century effectively Secondly, we determine the need to bring some semantic and syntactic choices of the first edition to a greater alignment with the original languages ​​of Scripture.

As a result, the New Living Bible is so simple and easy to understand as ever, and is now even more faithful to the written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek originals.

There were other changes. In the first edition, the indication of verses followed the logic of unity of thought. Instead of specifying individual verses, was made signaling blocks verses (eg .: 1-4, 12-15).

New Living Bible, the division into appropriate paragraphs was maintained, but the numbers of verses according to the traditional division were inserted.

There was also a new layout of text, with sans serif font to maximize the amount of text per page and at the same time make more pleasant reading experience.

What the reader gets now, therefore, is a Bible reading enjoyable and easy to understand, as was the 1981 edition, now reconfigured for today.

The Word of God is much more than a historical record of documents of antiquity. Contains nothing less than the revealed will of God for all his children. New Living Bible, his word becomes clearer than ever.
