Intendi acquistare un nuovo frigorifero e vorresti sapere quanto ti costerà tenerlo accesso o vorresti sapere quanto ti costa utilizzare la lampadina della tua scrivania?

L'App è essenzialmente formata da due formule.

La prima permette di calcolare il costo medio annuo di un elettrodomestico. I frigoriferi, le lavastoviglie, le lavatrici e tutti i grossi elettrodomestici in generale, sono solitamente esposti nei negozi con i Kwh medi annui consumati. Se conosci questo dato, quindi, puoi semplicemente utilizzare la prima formula e calcolare quanto di costerà, per esempio, tenere acceso un frigorifero più di un altro, scegliendo meglio quello che più fa per le tue tasche.

La seconda formula, invece, permette sempre di calcolare il costo dell'elettrodomestico, in base al proprio tempo d'impiego. Mettiamo tu sia al supermercato per acquistare un'aspirapolvere e sia indeciso tra una macchina che consuma 1000 watt e una da 1300 watt. Inserendo il numero di Watt, il costo del Kwh (lo trovi nella bolletta, mediamente 0,18 euro al Kwh) e la tua previsione d'impiego (per esempio, un'ora al giorno, otto giorni al mese per 11 mesi all'anno), potresti scoprire che un'aspirapolvere da 1000 watt ti costerà indicativamente 15 euro all'anno di corrente, per un totale di 88 Kwh, mentre uno da 1300 watt, a parità d'impiego, 20 euro all'anno, 114 Kwh, aiutandoti nella scelta.
