Student Tracker 9000

The Student Tracker 9000 was developed by Austin Toney & Jesus Reyes Diaz as a project for the National Academy Foundation Lenovo scholar network national app development competition.

The app is designed to allow teachers to setup a group using student cell phone numbers. The teacher can then ping the students exact coordinates and display them using Google maps. Once a group is setup the teacher will receive student locations every 5 minutes unless the tracking feature was disabled by the student. The students may choose to disable tracking but can still communicate through texting.

Although this app was developed with teachers and students in mind it's important to note that this app is not limited to just teachers and students but groups and individuals in general for locating a missing person.
