About Hamro Police
Hamro Police smart phone app that enables members of the public within Kathmandu Valley to swiftly report incidents of crime to Metro Police Kathmandu using smart phones. Residents and visitors to Kathmandu can report with pictorial and documentary evidence, as well as exact location of the incident, enabling Nepal Police to respond to reports swiftly and efficiently. Current functionalities include reporting incidents; locating nearest police stations; lodging complaints and thanking honest and committed police officers for their service.
Hamro Police App is a joint initiative of Metro Police Kathmandu (@npmetro), Local Interventions Group (@LIGintl) and Islington College, with technology support from Third Pole Connects Pvt. Ltd. Within Nepal Police Hamro Police app was conceived by Metro Police Kathmandu Commissioner AIG Bigyan Raj Sharma, facilitated by SSP Pushkar Karki, led on technology front by DSP Rabin Basnyat and approved by IGP Upendra Kant Aryal.
In our quest to modernise Nepal Police, more features will be added in the near future, helping to bring communities closer to the police.

Starting is good.. But except SMS other options are under construction now. Why Nepal police was so hurry to launch without complete it? May be for cheap popularity?? Plz complete is ASAP, it will be very useful for all.

this apps will make all.police to do better job.... no corrupt police can be corrupt in future..... with nepali citizen hence police dept. will rise in future.. as there is a say that one corrupt man make all his family to look bad.... but this apps will help to sucess in good way...... all d best to nepal police.... we are.with u toooo....jay desh.......i aalso loved to be police before but i failed due to my body piercing ....but support the good and the punctual one staff only... :)

The complaint feature is great! If there no mobile data, then sms complaint is also available. 1star is lost because i could not upload video, and the nearby police station map is not working very well. Also, can't add video in report.
