NoRoot Firewall Beta

Pros: High customization without the need of root. Many different features and able to block many programs on Startup both incoming and outgoing. Cons : there is no FAQ for guidebook located from the app that I can see. I would love to see how I could customize specific apps or groups of apps so no spying apps or unwanted apps could go send data out.

Ok. So I don't know if the app has to stay on 24/7 for the blocked apps to not have access to internet. And if the app is on, the notifications can be overwhelming sometimes. However the added extra steps make this a must have app. Specially if you want to avoid the Samsung OTA updates that will limit your phone to 60% battery charge.

Pl add feature to stop services that run in background thats not going online but consuming battery. Hope this feature will be added in next update. Sometime app stops and icon dissappeared from title bar. I have to manually start. Thanks

Non-beta crashed a lot and then often could not restart automatically leaving me open. It used to be great Beta util one day I upgraded to Lollipop 5.1. Crashes are here, not often, but still enough for some buggers to pull their wonderful ads. Which defeats the purpose of keeping at control. The app wasnt updated for long and I seem loosing my faith on it. -1 star for crashes and -1 star for incompatibility with AP mode

It's an Android FW--upon which, you, the end user, have 100%, C-O-M-P-L-E-T-E & TOTAL CONTROL. The FW performs honestly & leaves me alone while doin it's job. TYVVVVVVM!!!!!

Great app; however isp's require logs to address cyber attackers.. Also should cover IPv6 and ipv4/6 tunnels.. IOW make it magic without root :)

its a great concept. everytime I check, it is off. kinda useless if it wont stay on. and tried to connect to amazonnws 16x's in 2 minutes, totally crippling my device during game play.

but I tired to allow any application every it started to connect for first time, you should to add default internet permission, for example drfault permision allowed, so We no need to allow each app. Works well for blocking BBM Advertisement, good job

Ive owed Grey Shirts 5 stars for a couple of years now and 3 years of beta testing,development,in a spot that gets murdered by the most outstanding securities in this world,and their bugs.Not one individual corp. can survive alone here.Grey Shirts stepped up with this beta version and packet capture AND while having Dr. Web holding it No Root is easier to work with Dr.W because most people don't have a clue how to set up a pro firewall.This is an excellent app and would love to see more apps from GS corp..

I've been using the regular version. I'm testing this one. Not yet ready to comment on stability or performance. For now a couple of features would be great. 1. Edit offline the rules and upload them to the app 2. Export the rules for #1, or even able to copy them from one device to another (just by copying the exported file and uploading them) 3. Rearrange the rules being able to move them up/down 4. Move/Copy rule from one app/global-pre/global-post to another, or even to global pre/post Keep up the good work!

This app not good ,its automatically cresh and u r can not provide new update or support, I am install this app at 5 time but every time they r cresh,I am using Google Nexus 5 and OS is marshmallow 6.0.1

how about the ability to backup settings for each app and whole apps? so.. it's more easier when i reset my phone and re-install your app.

While the firewall is enabled: 1. Nothing is loading for a GPRS network 2. Vodafone Mobile wifi android app cannot connect to wireless router. 3. Often battery drain occurs

This App should be on all Android by default. If you implement IPv6 (for LTE), notification a la Little Snitch (Once, Until Quit, Forever) and Ads blacklist you will get 5 stars award!

But it still has certain performance issues, it increased the ping time on my home wifi from 20ms to 250ms.

the difference between no setting and a red cross. *) But it really works without root. Hasn't been an update for a while. Hopefully it will not be abandoned. *) have to correct myself. Just found it. Red X means everything blocked. No checkmark nothing is blocked if there is no custom filter and green checkmark everything is allowed.

The app is great. Couldn't it import the settings from the non beta version? That would make users kick-start to full functionality.

Great job developer's! !! It's very nice to be able to have control over the apps that you do not use or constantly run ,when you don't use them. Excellent control and ease of use is perfect.

Nice App just want some features, 1. Allow Connection for next 5min/custom timer 2. Allow connections till next reboot. 3. Profie based Connection allowing different app's net connection for different User profile. Ex. #Generalprofile allowing normal apps #Battery saver allows only messaging apps.

Firewall is stopped working by smart censorship in Iran. I hope the programer solve this problem in the next version.

Though menus not readily modifiable, great app to block and monitor. Suggest, from pull down menu to open App. Thanks developer.

Thank you for creating this app! Fantastic! I was wondering if there's a way to block all the apps at once rather than having to click on each app individually to change the permissions? It would be great to offer up the option so that the user can block everything at once, and then only have to click on those apps that he/she wants to allow through the firewall. Thanks! Hello, could you possibly fix this app for allowing internet via hotspot? What it is currently doing is just limiting the connection so I cannot access the internet via my laptop. Thanks for the help, if this is fixed I can buy any other apps you guys sell so you can get some money for your efforts. Thanks

I dont like the fact when the device fires up, and you do not immediately open device, your firewall by default is not on, until u give it the ok. Otherwise, i havent tested it because it's on android so i dont know the real effectiveness of this, along with the fact they are linux based apps and so on. Im familiar with p. o s windows instead. For free (nothing really is) id say good job devs / and device not being rooted.

whole App should be run in background. I have to manually start vpn network after rebooting, it should be auto after apply first time. please add mobile traffic control beside network traffic to save battery life also. Previous version does not require any permission why this version require photo access.

Please offer an app filter for easy lookup app. Some blocked apps keep accessing internet severely which swarm the access log. Wish to ease user's eyes on the log for such condition to filter out specific apps optionally

Best thing about the app is giving notification when any application ask for access. Have a little bit problem Cz this app is not fast than other app but very effective. Thanks for helping us without any donations.

A bit annoying (easy though) to set up as every app needs permission to operate through the firewall but what do you expect. Great app, don't give bad reviews if you don't understand what the app is doing and how it works. Thanks dev! Keep it up!

Really simple and useful app. The only really annoying things that I find are the request to effectively start the firewall after you have given it permission to auto start, that's dumb other apps auto stay without proper permissions so why can't this app? Some connections must still be going through, Linux kernel calls home and I don't see it being blocked (it is blocked by other firewalls), and there are others. Otherwise great app.

The app does a very good job of blocking Internet access to apps that I don't want to connect. This saves my data plan, battery, and memory. However, it does not detect all of my apps.

this one works for real. remember when u install a new program that u need permissions for it before it will run. good work guys. this app should be a stock system app on all phones.

Description says it reports crashes (which is fine) but it actually connects every few minutes unless you deny it. If denied it will continually try every few seconds. I unistalled when the count reached 35.

Has many uses it has been working I see it blocks some apps from the net refresh the app once a day
