Tell just how bad a singer I am. You can't fool yourself anymore. Hey better that you know. Rather than everyone cringing when you sing. App 4stars, my voice 0.2 stars

Update 25/03/12: The problem seems to have been fixed and the app is now working fine on the S2, that's very nice! Few comments to reach 5 stars: The piano animation seems to indicate that the app recognizes fairly well the low pitches also and being a bass, that would be great to have the graph pitch vs time going to C3 (even G2?), or have the possibility to specify the range in settings. Settings is in fact the biggest missing option to render the app quite perfect. It would be great to be able to specify the range to display. Setting could also indicate the most common options and include a help section to indicate the controls and how to (controls/shortcuts are not obvious currently). Improving even more the accuracy/stability of the pitch recognition of course would be great, though the current state it's already very impressive. Overall, one the most useful app of it's kind on the market so far.

I've been looking at this for several days, and the author has made some simple changes that make it work very well. Someone mentioned Mic gain; author has added a squelch level that lets you set it above the background noise. It seems to be quite accurate with harmonica. Stringed instruments show more variation, which is probably true. Voice, at least my voice has the most variation. Occasionally it gets confused about octaves, and shows C5 instead of C4, but I think that's the result of overtones in any stringed instrument, especially voice. I hope to try this out with some people that are pitch challenged to see if it helps me show them where their voice is, and how to sing better. I'm going to give it a 5 star rating in spite of it being a new app that is still being developed because I like how it works. Thus far the author has been very responsive to ideas for improvement. Singing apps that tell someone who can't sing what exercises to do are pointless; their whole problem is they cannot perceive the pitch. That's why I like this one.

I've been saving money to buy a pc app called sing & see but if this works for me, I would have saved hundreds of dollars. Please keep on improving this. Singers and vocal coaches needs this

Cool and useful application. Haven't tested it against pitch pipe, but suspect it is fine. A must for singers of all levels!

Firstly, tried to install on my tablet, but it doesn't work with Icecream Sandwich. Then installed on my phone, and since I opened the app apparently I can't get a refund, even though this app can't even tell what OCTAVE a sound is in! (tried with my voice and with a piano app, playing a scale makes it jump all over the place). This is a promising idea but the execution falls well short, and I'm angry that I paid money for something so useless!
