Thanks for taking a good app and jamming it full of pop ups and other BS.

I can't figure out how to clear my harbor scribbles without a menu button, and OS updates cause it to crash until I reinstall; otherwise, it's one of the most useful apps on my phone.

There arrrrr a few things I'd fix but overall great concept and it works everytime without fail.

Gets it done with a little fun. Contains an ad tracker so only 4*.

I'm sure it is for ads. That permission provides unique identification of your phone such as IMEI, which uniquely identifies your phone.

Didn't locate me while standing in apparking lot in a 4g area.

The way my default phone app SHOULD work but with a better design anyway. Win-win!

Been using this for years and it's still helpful and cheeky good grin worthy fun for finding your car. Can notate where you've parked in a garage or lot, even gps lock, or rather dock, so you can follow the map or compass back.

Whether inside or outside, I get a message that the location is not accurate enough. I try setting it manually and get the same message. The GPS is working but carrr matey is not.

Not an app I use much but because it is just too cool, I've kept it fir years. Even a coworker would kid me with "carrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr matey". Another reason i liked it was the ability to sms your location. That was an added plus. Functional and cool. Worthy of five stars

This app was once my favorite way to remember where I parked. It hasn't been updated in a long time, and needs some usability updates for it to be truly useful again.

Constantly get "signal not accurate enough" error, even with "set manual location". Please add tolerance option/remove tolerance check on manual set.

This app is not picking up my GPS signal like my other apps!

Often get the "signal not strong enough error" even when it looks correct on the map. How accurate does it really need to be? Get me within 50 ft of my vehicle and I will find it. Even the manual dock doesn't always work.

Don't see why this app should require cellphone service since it works off gps. Can't cover a service provider now so USELESS!

I love the pirate theme of this car parking app. It does its job beautifully, it's free, and a cute way to know where your car is.

was one of my most used apps of android,but i bought a galaxy mini (s5570) and cant never install again

Used it a lot; but, won't anymore until there is an explanation why they need access to phone state and identity.

Why does this app need the ability to see my phone identity?

Not working keeps saying GPS issue.. GPS on and working fine for other apps..

Uses GPS or Network location, nice compass mode. Find Vessel dialog stupid as you must press icon and not text, nearly uninstalled because of this.

Never get drunk and forget where you parked again!

There's no reason why it should take 20 minutes or more to find a gps signal in the middle of a parking lot. And it looses gps when the screen darkens

It's so annoying having to hunt for my car in a big lot. I love having this app.

Is this app legit? I think I have a Pirated copy. Harrr harr! So useful,& great fun to use.

Can never lock GPS anymore....really buggy with later android versions. Seems like they've stopped maintaining this....not reliable.

Other apps show 13 feet accuracy. Maybe it's a threshold but if I'm 13 feet from my car I can see it without any apps. Would gladly give 5 starts if it worked for me.

First, needs a setting change, 90 second alarm for a meter is a bad joke. In Chicago, tickets are usually given 2 min after meters expire. Need an option to change notification time. Now, fun themed parking software. Developers seemed to have fun making the app. Nothing fancy like taking pictures of the car or? Who needs that, really. Easier than apps I have tried, consistently good.

Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me...lol...works great! For those complaining of garrages, do you know what GPS is? Sattelite (needs sky view)..duh..

Basic GPS beacon with a whimsical flair. Tracking parking meter time is a nice plus. A must have for anyone who attends large festivals, etc. with multiple exits or who likes to park and wander around unfamiliar areas

I was looking for a basic GPS beacon app, surprised there wasn't an option in Google Maps, stumbled on Carr Matey. Works great, fun interface, even lets u text out your current coords as a Google maps link. Parking timers, also a nice addition. And its free!

It's funny how I stumbled upon this application. I was actually searching for something completely different, and it popped up in the results (shows once again how Google's searching algorithm is complete garbage on Android), and good ol' Carr Matey caught my eye again. I say again because I had downloaded and used this app since it first came out, must be at least two years ago, I know it was whenever the Motorola Droid came out, because right after I bought it, this was one of the first applications I installed on the smart phone. And now being on my third, different, Android smart phone, well, somewhere along the way, I lost this app on my devices and completely forgot how much I loved it apparently, shame on me! This wonderful tool works just as brilliantly, as it did those few years ago, but actually - maybe even better now! But really I'm just so elated to have found this gem again, and my sincere thanks to the developer for creating, maintaining, and still offering this application, and above all thanks for your generosity in offering it free of charge. I just downloaded the other two apps that this developer offers, and I bet they are just as outstanding as Carr Matey.

this app has saved my a** so many times, i've had issues sometimes with it taking some time to get my location when gmaps seem to have it, but it's been getting better. i always lose track of where i park and my sense of direction is not great, so this app works really well for marking my location. Plus, the pirate theme and the compass are really cool :)

Solid, but there are stronger competitors as of May 2, 2012. If it has the features mentioned in the subject line, the interface requires you to drill down and search for what ought to be easily accessible. I compared with Car Locator by Edward Jim. Car Locator is more feature-rich: able to save multiple locations, leave labels & comments on those locations, as well as email those locations' coordinates.

I wish it worked on my Atrix.It used to work, but at some point, stopped. I always get the errors "no gps signal" and "your current location reading is not accurate enough" even though it pinpoints my location perfectly to within a couple of feet. carrr matey refuses to recognize that my GPS location is correct and so will not let me drop anchor.

Good idea, but compass direction off. Car located about 30 degrees to my left and arrow pointing about 70 degrees to my left.
