Nice app, though people also have to remember that they have a separate one called iView for kind of everything else. This one seems just for news and so far does a reasonable job for me I think, would be nice to have a download feature so I'm not needing an internet connection. Pity the notifications don't ways work

While the app works it is really simplistic in that favourite stories can't be followed or feedback given to the journalists. Also the news lacks freshness, articles can be days old. Also articles are based on what the journalists perceive as important to the reader rather than by a simple keyword vote system. For example I would like to see news about the NBN, and more local news.

I would like to say that more news could be posted. More often. Usually all the news has been read in the first visit of the day to the site. I find myself checking for new articles through out the day but not many updates

The app is bandwidth hungry and inefficient. I attempted to use it in SE Asia while traveling and gave up unless I was in a hotel with wifi. Basically I was better off using BBC or NY Times which provided a much better service.

Prefer the old colour scheme. PLEASE give us a night mode. Bright white when one first wakes up hurts. Also, the "clean" UI attempt leaves the user more confused about where objects are and their boundaries than before. Still a great app though: 5/5

App was great but recent updates (downgrades) have caused the listen live to stop when the app loses focus. I used to listen to my local radio when travelling but if I use any other app the streaming just stops.

I wish that when I open the notification received by the ABC app, it would take me directly to the story rather than the home page. Could just be mine though! Otherwise a fantastic service.

My "first thing in the morning" app. If I had to be picky, my Nexus 7 Android tablet won't zoom the page or photo using pinch/spread with fingers. Otherwise perfect .

Last update said "fixed menu issues". When applied, the menu stopped working, frequently requiring that I force close the app. This update, they move to an entirely new GUI design.This fixed my menu issue I guess, but now they've replaced the state-based categories with a location aware "local" section, which thinks I am in Canberra, which is out by about 950kms. The app now crashes any time I switch back to our from something else.

Loved the ABC all of my 65 year-old life. Occasionally I tire of articles that hang around for weeks, some of the ABC current affairs programming I won't watch due to audience stacking and political bias.

I use this to try and listen to Radio National live ...with "try" being the operative word. Often fails to load properly and regularly crashes midstream. Very disappointing as I love my ABC..

I really liked the way the app was organised prior to the new version. If we're going to move local and national news behind self adverts for ABC, can we please have the option to customise the order ourselves?

ABC have started pushing way too many notifications recently alerting us about breaking stories that we simply don't need alerting about.

What would we do without the ABC!! If you keep your nose clean & always maintain your exemplary standards, you will always have a willing audience aunty.

Good coverage of news. Only problem is when I try to watch a video in landscape orientation it goes outside the edges. You need a fullscreen button.

ABC has grown more dumbdown. changed it's model. In short representing fewer people.

ABC news is well rusted, so content gets a thumbs up. App works well, fast response, and mostly bug free.

Content is good but downloading is slow. Sometimes it seems stalled and if I go back and try again it comes straight on.

Really like the new layout....easier to read and makes browsing more enjoyable. Thanks ABC!!! Use it every day. Rely on this app for all national news.

Previous problems seem to be fixed. This app is our must-have while living overseas, used dauly.

App fails to open often despite Re installation. Otherwise all good!

Please get some better editors. The spelling and typing mistakes are bad form for a well regarded national news provider.

The ABC app allows users to access the latest news when they want it. ABC news is, as elsewhere, fully independent and free from the influence of commercial influence

This my favourite app. I go to it throughout the day and always feel updated on what's going on in the world of news. The ABC is a trusted and ever reliable source of news.

Stories out of date. Can't personalized in any way. Can't share.

Why was the story headline font changed to be so small and a weird font? It's less legible now and my eyesight is okay!

The app works fine but the news content is not updated often enough. The ABC has the resources to do a much better job

The new design for the app is far worse than the old one, and that yellow colour is disgusting.

This is a great app for news the opinion pieces though have become less informative since ABC closed down the Drum section and fact checking. Pressure from the right I suspect.

Mostly good. "Old news", as recent as 24 hours old, disappears. You need to go to the web site to find it.

The ABC is the embodiment of what beind Australian means. Honest,Trustworthy, Multicultural and open and transparent Perhaps Mr Turnbull can use some of their ethics in the development of the new Citizenship laws .

You need to get control over the finances of those who pretend to be responsible politically for ABC instead of being blackmailed by them to ignore journalistic responsibility.
