Just 6 Weeks for Android
It is a good app but I just find it to be a little to basic. It lacks Google fit integration and navigating the app can be a pain. The back button navigation is bizarre and the repeat day button is far too easy to press. There is also a no instruction on good form. Basically the app gives a number of reps and a timer. Sometimes Simplicity is good, other times it's a good start on an unfinished work.
I really like the app, unfortunately after getting a new phone (Samsung j7) it has stopped working! I can't input any data anymore. It worked fine on my old one. Also, an online backup would be awesome!
Awesome app. Makes some drastic jumps between reps and weeks, but I don't give up till they're done! Has kept me motivated and I add in alternate exercises in the rest time it gives you between sets. Great record keeping as well. Highly recommend. Simple and functional
For the pass 2 weeks i been doing week 3 day 3 because i can't do the following week workout. It's too hard. I need some tips on increasing my gains, help!
I enjoyed this app. Got to the third week of my exercises. It kept reminding me to rate it on Google play. I finally put yes, rated it 5 stars, then went back to the app and saw that ALL MY PROGRESS WAS RESET!!! Quite the glitch. Nice way of thanking me for rating the app.
I am partway through week 3 doing every exercise except dips. The results are phenomenal! I can only imagine where I will be in 3 more weeks. If you commit to meet this apps challenged I imagine you will feel the same way. It is incredible! One critique. The 10 minute plank program is not really useful. While its a great goal scientists are dubious that there is any benefit to going past 3 minutes. Getting to 10 is more of a mental thing. You would be much better off doing a variety of ab exercises that are more difficult.
I contacted the developers and I was informed that a major update is coming at the beginning of the year. It will include Google Fit sync. This is one thing that has been sorely lacking. Glad to see this app is still being updated.
I've been using this app for a couple of weeks and overall I think great and very good value. The ui is simple but in a very good way as it's clean and intuitive and let's you get on with training without any annoying distractions making it quick and easy to use. A couple of suggestions to make it even better.... once you complete a workout for one of the exercises maybe highlight in a different colour to make it stand out to show completed / incomplete exercises. Another suggestion would be to hide exercises you are not doing or not interested in to make up even cleaner... I'll update review after using it a bit longer but so far very good!
I really dig this app. It uses your first day as a baseline so it sets goals based on you not "where you should be." I've gone through several weeks of it several times, but I still haven't made it to the end. Hoping I can stick with it this time.
Need common schedule settings for All parts In One Place, because it's not handy to go into 3 parts to set up mon-wed-fri schedule. Do it!
Awesome! I just replaced 4 other ad-riddled apps with this one. Love that it has you put in how many of each exercise you can already do, let's you hit the ground running. If I had one request, comparable app suites (of multiple apps) include lunges, I am going to put in a request that the dev add those too. Still giving this 5 stars.
This is a great app for your exercise regiment. The only major drawback is that my phone broke and when I got my new one I had to start from scratch. I paid for this app and I would think something as simple as having a backup of my workout on their servers would be a fairly easy thing to do. Cheers!
This is a nice way to work out. I alternate the six workouts so on one day, I do squats in the morning, pushups when I get home and sit-ups before bed. The next day, I do the remaining three exercises the same way. I'm able to work my major muscle groups in brief sets that are spread out rather than using a block of time for "a workout." Highly recommend!
Absolutely my favorite workout app of all time. I've tried them all, I'm an app fanatic and this was the only one that could keep me consistently doing the work. I'm not sure if it's the UI's simplicity or what, but this app is what you need if you've got a bad habit of not following plans.
It's definitely got me exercising more, however some of the difficulty curves need a bit more work. I've been stuck on week six day one of the plank workout for over a month now (15+ attempts)
I wanted something simple and unirritating, with some basic customization and not too many unnecessary bells and whistles. This is that option. I can schedule my workouts and love tracking my progress. The breakdown of reps for each activity makes it very achievable.
Really wish it would auto-progress from a rest break to the next activity. Having to touch the Start button then quickly get back in position for the activity breaks up the routine.
I think this app has one bad point. -The schedule system Which is the important one.
Simple and nice app. I would suggest to have the notifications be aware of the days activity. If you do the workouts before the reminders, it will remind you regardless which is kinda silly.
I love the simple bodyweight workout you get through this app. They've added more functions over the past year and would love it if calf raises would get added!
Love this app and that it's added a couple more exercises that I enjoy. It would be nice if the subsequent rounds in the Plank exercise would automatically start after the break countdown so you wouldn't have to reach over to push Start while trying to plank.
I've been using the paper versions for a couple of years and grabbed the app as soon as I went Android. I love the recovery timer; I used to have trouble differentiating reps and start times during a hard set. The only real problem I have with Just Six Weeks is that I've never managed to complete any of the programs in that time and seem to get into an exercise band which I can't complete within 7 days. This app will certainly get you started but I found it needs a bit of boredom to finish.
I've used this app on and off. When I am consistent I notice a difference in myself after the 1st week. Family and friends notice within 3 to 4 weeks. Also it's convenient. Watch TV bang out a few push ups, squats, dips, etc. This app leaves you no excuse not to work out. It gets increasingly harder as you get stronger. If it's to much to handle. You simply repeat the workout day until your ready for another challenge.
If you can keep yourself using it, you'll love it. I've been using this app on and off for over 5 years without any issues, the simple UI looks slick and is easy to use, and most importantly it works, you'll quickly notice results and they'll stay as long as you've got motivation. I really can't overstate how much I love this app. Great job devs
Second time using it, and it's definitely working. In feeling soreness that I've only felt from gym work. This upgrade seems to be working better than the previous one, but give me a few weeks with it before I change the stars.--UPDATE--Better than before. Works good.--UPDATE--Still going strong.
I think this app is effective, but the app has a major flaw: you can only run one exercise at a time. It's not possible to combine two or more - then you must reset your workout. Lots of manual work to make a 'program' workout. This should not be to complicated to implement, and it has been requested for a long time. Fix that, and I will share this far and wide.
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to for this app. I've been using it a week primarily for push ups as I'm heading into the Army, and already I've noticed a drastic improvement. My reps have improved about ~5 every day, and after I record in the app I can pump out a few more slowly to work more on form when our drill sergeants smoke us. I just wish there was a running exercise too, in order to cut down mile times and build on endurance, then I'd recommend this to all my friends in the Army
The sets & repetitions can be modified to my capability. Doably challenging. The chart is motivating. I focused on one exercise daily only for 6 weeks before I will add a new set of exercise. This way I won't get burned out and lose momentum. Cheers to the developers!
Would be nice to have an option to create a generic custom exercises and have a custom goal to work towards. Sportsman pro looks like competition but I hate in app purchase and online tracking which you don't have
Straightforward program to follow and lots of room to customize. I've done rounds of the popular workout programs, but I prefer this one because it paces your gains. In terms of customization, I'm also repeating the dips program for shoulder exercises (front, sides, rear) dips, quads for calf raises, abs for Russian twists, and pull-ups for chin-ups. These are just a few ideas to make this program more complete (for me).
I like to use this to help build my muscle endurance, once I start getting into later weeks I struggle complete some sets so I know to just repeat that day or week. The interface is clean and intuitive. As the add new exercises it just gets better.
Been having trouble getting motivated to working out again, and this had worked well to get a doable, structured path to an end goal. Had a pitying with an earlier version, and the developers were great to work with.
Brilliant for it's intended use but you can also use it for any exercise in that body group. For instance, I find it too easy for pushups so I use it for bench press with a 70kg weight. My gains are insane!!!!
Nuf said really.... It's worth it. It pushes you and works around how much of each type you can do on the first session. Update : I love the idea of 10 minute plank... I think that will really help to build a solid core.
The app has a simple interface and is designed around specific goals. I'm in week 5 for sit ups and push ups and feel like I'm tracking towards both goals. I wasnt even close when I started
A very good way to monitor your progress. The app Do what it says nothing special and easy to use. A bid disadvantage you can't backup your progress to cloud
Just 6 Weeks is an app designed to help you train in 5 basic exercises: Push Ups, Sit Ups, Dips, Squats, and Pull Ups. If you follow this app's recommended workouts for 6 weeks, you'll be doing massive amounts of reps of these simple exercises in - you guessed it - six weeks. That's 100 push ups 200 sit ups 150 dips 200 squats 20 pull ups
Great little app. Don't always have time for a workout cause of my work schedule, but I always have 20 min to spare for a few sections from here at the end of the night. Has helped me keep in shape.
Great little app, does the job nicely. Few extra features would make it a 5 star, like better ways to track progress, maybe a calendar to track which days you're doing what

Absolutely love this app for it's progressive bodyweight workout program. I have not been able to find anything as easy to understand and follow. There is a minimal need for equipment to complete all of the exercises. The one thing to keep in mind is that the workouts will take much longer to complete the further you make it into the program, so adjust for it in your schedule. For me it went from under an hour to over an hour and a half by the time I got to week 4 doing all exercises.
