النادي الأهلي المصري أو النادي الأهلي للرياضة البدنية (Ahly S.C) تأسس عام 1907، وهو نادي رياضي مصري ويعتبر أكبر الأندية المصرية العربية الأفريقية شهرة وأكثرها بطولات وحصل الأهلى على 19 بطولة قارية وضعت الاهلى على قمة أندية العالم وأكثرها شعبية في الوطن العربي وعلي مستوي رياضة كرة القدم الأهلي هو النادى الوحيد في العالم الذي تاهل إلى كأس العالم لأندية كرة القدم خمس مرات بالمشاركة مع أوكلاند سيتى. الأهلي هو أفضل نادي إفريقى في القرن العشرين وذلك طبقاً لقرار الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم الذي أصدرة عام 2000، وكان أول نادٍ رياضي مصري للمصريين. صاحب فكرة إنشائه هو عمر لطفي بك الذي كان رئيسًا لـ"نادي طلبة المدارس العليا للألعاب الرياضية بالجزيرة". وتيمنًا باسمه سميت عدة أندية في المنطقة باسم الأهلي مثل (أهلى طرابلس - أهلي بنغازي الليبي - أهلي البرج الجزائري - أهلى جدة السعودي - الأهلي الأردني - أهلى دبى الإماراتي - الأهلي البحريني - الأهلي القطري). حصل النادي الأهلي على درع الدوري المصري لكرة القدم 37 مرة آخرها درع عام 2014 وهى أول بطولة دورى تستكمل منذ عام 2011. وحصل على بطولة كأس مصر 35 مرة آخرها عام 2007. حصل "نادي الوطنية" أو "المارد الأحمر" كما يلقبه مشجعيه علي بطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا ثمانية مرات آخرها في العاشر من نوفمبر ٢٠١٣ والتي تأهل من خلالها إلي كأس العالم للأندية للمرة الخامسة في تاريخه. أما علي مستوي النشاطات الرياضية الأخرى يتفوق الأهلي إفريقياً وعربياً وعالمياً في رياضتي الاسكواش والكرة الطائرة.
