EMC Racktor ST for Android
Good app, Bluetooth works perfectly. It does lack a lot of features that would make it a 5-star app and more worth the money. However, button text is cut off on my device (Nexus 7). Their support consists of a forum with zero traffic. My bug report has gone months without a response let alone a fix.
Bluetooth.. no need for internet connection. no latency... Will be replacing my novation hardware with this digital app for live djing and performances.... PLEASE ADD A CROSS Fader! But even without.. i just mapped my cross fader to one of the many XY axis. Great Job guys... I bought the phone and the tablet app! Let me know how i can support further... This product is on the leading edge of wireless midi controllers. Id love to see some presents that link it with ableton automatically! I also love that the interface style has changed since emc v1.. it takes it away from looking like all the others.. plus so much more banks added!
Since the latest version, I don't have problems on my Nexus 7 anymore. Now on to requests: I would like to request an Instant Mapping file for Ableton 9, moreover I would like to request improvement of the clip launcher so that it emulates a launchpad better. Two arrow keys to scroll up and control more cells would be nice, I wish I didn't have to map every cell to a specific midi clip (just like it's automatically mapped on the novation launchpad), also scene launch function would be awesome. Moreover, I would like to be able to shift the octaves on the drum pads. This is by far the best Ableton midi controller out there, but there's still a long way to go to reach LiveControl 2 on Lemur/iOS. You guys can do it though, I believe in you. Peace!
If this app had a default ableton live mapping for clip launching it would be on par with its iPad competitors.
Would be really good, but on a Note 10.1 tablet, the bottom of the screen is rendered underneath the status bar, so you can't access the low end of sliders etc....please fix ! .......Thanks dev !
Using a Google nexus 10, 32 GB. Edit June 23rd, 2013: Well worth the money. Developer offered constant feedback. No complaints here.
Doesn't display properly on my google nexus 7, it got better with some updates but with the latest update the controllers are all jumbled up and it's unusable. I was a big fan of EMC v1 and the simpler graphics and even if this app worked properly I think the EMC team should have built on what they had instead of trying to overhaul the whole look and feel
