Podkicker Podcast Player for Android
The part I hate the most is the slider at the right of the screen. The live area is so big it always catches when I try to simply scroll up and down through the titles. The live area seems to cover almost have the screen so when it reacts it slides you way down or up on the list. Happens on different phones with different OS. Looking for better player. Fix this problem, and I'll report on the others.
There are a lot of buggy things going on with this app and I hate to be required to subscribe before I can even listen to a single episode. Very basic and works but terrible UI
I've used this app for years and never been disappointed. Its not exactly number one for discovery but I know what I want to listen to so this is perfect. Download, listen, autodelete, notifications and tons of other settings in a minimalist package that doesn't drain battery.
Laggy, also recently stopped letting me unsubscribe from podcasts. I havr a couple Ive unsubscribed from multiple times and they keep coming back.
This app is great but I would like to be able to search descriptions of downloaded podcasts. I would also like to make playlists of episodes and categories of podcasts.
Installed it, no navigation at bottom, couldn't look for podcasts, had to get rid of it.
Simple. Doesn't kill your battery. And has all the features you need
Great podserver. I wish it would just update the podcast match list.
Great, simple podcast app with a very good selection of features
I love listening to this before bed.
Great player!
EDIT: Just upgraded to android 7.0 and now on the lockscreen the time doesn't appear when Podkicker is running and the sleep timer cuts out and doesn't play to the end sometimes. Can these please be fixed? [[The automation for refreshing podcasts doesn't work and it would be nice to be able to save the downloaded podcast episodes to SD card. They are the only complaints I have. I've tested a *lot* of podcast apps and this one is the best by far.]]
Must have updated recently and now the refresh option doesn't seem to work? And also no access from the pulldown menu when listening. Have to go back into the app to pause, play, etc. Which can be annoying. Usually the cats ass as far as podcast apps go. Fix these problems? Yay?
The best, most feature loaded free podcast app that I could find! Save your favorites offline, explore interests, discover amazing new podcasts and best of all, Chromecast support. Get it now!
Playback error null STILL occurs with some podcats like hello from the magic tavern as of 11-4-17
It was a great app but it stopped working for me.
Big issues on Streaming on specific time
Good podcast app, but recently giving errors and not loading the whole backlog of certain podcasts' episodes.
This is the best free podcast player under 5MB.
All i need in a lightweight and user friendly package
Very good.
Love it
*UPDATE: The app keeps skipping and freezing. It's very frustrating!* I love this app for my podcasts. When I switched from Apple to Android I was worried I wouldn't find something I liked for my podcast listening. My only concern is the app does cut out quite a bit. I love that it starts up immediately in my car, and auto plays the next episode! Overall, great app!
I have been using this app for a year now and it has worked flawlessly, however now I'm getting this a message saying "cannot access storage" this is a major problem for me since I had many podcasts downloaded on my SD card that I can no longer access through podkicker, until I can fix this issue is fixed I will be using another app. EDIT: the problem has fixed itself with a couple restarts and podkicker remains my app of choice .
Great app but could you guys add a way in which you can export the podcasts episodes that you have listened to? I would like to back that information up just in case something happens to my phone or I flash another rom.
I have loved this app for years but recently started getting "Playback Error Null" messages for a lot of my favorite podcasts. Would like to keep using this app but if this isn't fixed soon I will have to find another go-to podcast app.
Ever since my newest update, my podkicker doesn't work! Episodes won't play, they start and stop. It's so frustrating! I love this app and need this fixed asap!
Used to be amazing but has completely stopped working for me. Writing this review in the hopes that they fix the "Playback error: null" problem. Would like to go back to having this as my podcast app.
Although I've been using podkicker for many months without a problem, since the last update I am constantly getting Playback Error Null messages. So frustrating! Looks like it might be time for a new app. I hate not being able to rely on something.
What is "playback error: Null" and how do I get rid of it? It's keeping me from listening to more and more podcasts...
Play back error null has ruined my experience with this app. I have transitioned to a new podcast app until they resolve this
This version won't auto download, have to do it manually. Glad i didn't let the other tablet update, older version works fine.
I've been using this app for years. Ive tried dozens of other podcast apps on Android and iOS and out them all I prefer podkicker for its minimalist style and ease of use. All the options you expect from organizing episodes to automatic download options and to storage management on internal or SD card and a simple layout that allows for quick navigation on practically any device. I just love this app and i'm thinking about upgrading to the pro version soon. Ads are minimal and not intrusive to use.
My earbuds have a play/pause button. I want to skip 30 second ads with a double click. Thx!
All my podcasts have subscribed to have disappeared. Why?
Podkicker has been a really reliable and intuitive podcatcher for me for years. It's great.
Easy and simple to use. Best podcast player.
Lately I've been getting a lot of "playback error null"
I really enjoy this for my podcasts, although I have to be very exact in the spelling and name

Been using this app for years and I love it. My only request is that I be able to arrange podcasts by artist and by date in a way that allows me to listen to the earliest first. Right now I can only listen to them from newest to oldest. For news podcasts, it makes listening in order a bit difficult. Thanks!
