About Game of Whispers
After the defeat of Poland in September of 1939, Poles didn’t put down their weapons. Numerous underground armed forces were created in the country and hundreds of thousands of Polish servicemen joined the Allies’ forces. Polish intelligence established as many as 30 networks in the whole Europe. Their best cooperation developed with the British where Poles’ work was most essential in the fight against the Nazis. This project presents chosen spectacular successes of Poles in service of the British intelligence.
About the SIS
SIS. No other service would be equally popularized by the pop culture. And no other whose actions would be so strongly covered with an air of secrecy and disinformation. The importance of the British intelligence during the Second World War is impossible to overrate. Those were the people who inspired the fallen Europe to stand up against Hitler; who dealt the cards at all the most significant events; who had their say in creating a new order after the fall of the Third Reich – an order that is still relevant today.
About the project
The project created by Fundacja Obywatelska Perspektywa and held under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland is directed to the young Polish and Europeans.
