The Medical Protection Society (MPS) provides medicolegal advice to more than 270,000 healthcare professionals in over 40 countries. As part of its service to members, MPS produces educational material to help guide doctors through the medicolegal challenges that arise in everyday practice.
New legislation (the Health and Social Care Act 2008) has made it a requirement that all healthcare organisations in England will need to register with the healthcare regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). For primary medical services of general practice this the deadline for registering will be April 2013.
MPS has developed this application as a guide to help its members through the registration process.

I'm a CQC inspector This is very good. It doesnt state the obvious point that small care homes and beauty salons easily registered so it should be a doddle for GP practices. Once you complete the application using this application as a guide, you will notice that the regulations purely describe what you already do.
