Chute libre

L'inclinaison du canon peut être modifiée ainsi que sa vitesse initiale.
Pour une même vitesse d'éjection, on constate que la distance parcourue est maximale pour un angle de 45°. Ceci s'applique pour le boulet du canon ou pour le javelot du sportif.
La résistance de l'air étant négligée, la trajectoire est une parabole exacte, d'où le nom de "chute libre parabolique". La chute libre verticale n'est qu'un cas particulier de la chute libre parabolique.
