About ASL Alphabet
My name is Yalini Pathmakumar. I graduated from Cornell University this past May 2016 with a BS in Human Biology, Health, and Society. I am currently applying for medical school. Meanwhile, I am currently pursuing a gap year with research at Westchester Medical Center. I am working on a few apps for people with special needs.
This Alphabet sign language app is the first one I have created. My younger brother is non-verbal Autistic, and so relies on sign language to communicate with his friends and family. As a result, I learned sign language and was inspired by him to create an application that can help people with special needs or the families/friends of people with special needs.
I aspire to be a physician who can understand and research more about Autism. I hope this app is helpful to everyone who uses it! It is free and is available on Android and iOS.
