Under Threshold

This app forms part of an interactive arts installation to be shown in August 2011 at the Hackney Wicked festival in London. Under Threshold will attempt to illustrate the complex relationship between conscious and subconscious awareness. It will do so through the usage of both visible and invisible projections. The invisible projections can only be brought into the conscious experience of the onlooker by means of a mobile phone or camera, as they are done in infrared light. The visible light will symbolize the “supraliminal stimuli” we receive whilst the “subliminal stimuli” that are a reaction to it are symbolized by the invisible light.
