De Umenz app biedt schriftelijke en audiovisuele medische- en farmaceutische informatie op maat voor iedere patiënt, ongeacht opleidingsniveau of taalvaardigheid.

De persoonlijke informatie die in deze app verzameld wordt als u een account aanmaakt, is beperkt tot uw naam. Uw naam wordt alleen gebruikt om u te identificeren bij uw zorgverlener. Om onbevoegde toegang tot de informatie te voorkomen wordt gebruik gemaakt van een beveiligde verbinding tussen de app en de database en wordt uw naam in de database versleuteld opgeslagen met behulp van 128-bits encryptie.
