Bibliophilia I love this app it help me keep track of my multiple books, but while scanning my books the app has stop and it won't let me scanned more books it has stop on 250 books and that's not even half of the books I got, is there a limit to scan books and also it will be better to look up books on other site and not only on Google books.
Excellent app if you're listing books for, say, insurance. A few nuisances: occasionally the bar code scan will yield no results, and then a manually-typed in online search will find the book, right there. App creates doubles of each photo in your Android photo gallery, even though it only uses one--why? It would be helpful if the app created its own album for its photos, instead of cramming your default camera photos album. Needs a way to list book price/value.
I really like this archiving app. But you have to use Barcode scanner, because the embedded scanner causes force close. Also, only backup to Dropbox. I need real sync, then I can use the app on different devices and always keep my book archive with me.
Money well spent. I wanted an android app where I could easily import an already created .csv file of books I have read. I had been using BookCrawler on an itouch, so already had my .csv file created. I started with Book Catalogue but could not import my .csv file, even after putting it on the SD card per instructions. With the Bibliophilia app it was a piece of cake. I could email or use dropbox to access my .csv file. I go to open the file and it immediately asks if I want to open it with Bibliophilia. From there you just have to check and import all the books. I was limited with the book import amount with lite so bought the full and glad I did. I have already used the app when I went to the library. I like it better than Book Crawler! Super easy to manually add a book and then search for the jacket cover and details to add. I highly recommend this app if you want to have a quick access to your book reads. Not sure if you can scan a barcode with this app, I am not using that function. Thanks creators of this app!
Now works beautifully on my galaxy
Working faultlessly until installed full version now error messages when using database/google books. I have now unistalled and reistalled all back to normal and stable. Would love to be able to store my pdf books to bibliophilia library.
Really useful, with loads of features
Now that the app is revised, I can use the scanner I have installed. I suppose an app may specify ancillary apps. This app is excellent and easy to use. The export facilities seem OK; nice to have database stored in the cloud. One minor niggle: when a book cover cannot be downloaded and I manually take a picture of the cover, the photo may not be straight up and it cannot be rotated. Cover pictures are merely an eye-candy, anyway.
Didn't import ISBNs even though I created the import file exactly according to their specifications
Just what I needed. The ability to synch between platforms is great and works well. Support has been friendly and helpful. If on multi platforms, you need to remember to set them up the same. Once that is done it synchs fine. I'm looking forward to future developments.
Having tried a few apps to scan my books, I found this one to be the best. It scans almost all books flawlessly. Any book that didn't come up immediately could be easily looked up on Google books. One of the handy features is to be able to store your placement of your books (living room, blue shelf, etc.) Backs up seamlessly to Dropbox. The PC application identifies if the database has been updated, and imports new records. Customer service is responsive and helpful. Thanks Andrea.
I really love this app! It has helped me so much in remembering which books I have or need so I don't get multiple copies. I do wish books starting with "The" like The Great Gatsby showed up under the the G (for "Gatsby") instead of T (for "the"). Overall it was definitely worth the $5 to buy the non-lite version!
I've tried all the book catalogue apps but this one is the one that will be used for my collection. Beautiful UI. Easy to scan, good collating of information, very good customising. Syncs with dropbox perfectly. Downloaded to nexus7 as well, logged into dropbox and all the information was there instantly including the covers. Well worth the money if you have a substantial book collection.
Absolutely love it However, I do wish it would show what book number it is in a series or at least in order.

This app is very useful for those who love reading and writing their notes on the book. Also very helpful for organizing ones personal library. But it need to move to a more friendlier and accessible layout. It could also use materiel design update.
