About 19 NCCAN
On April 30 – May 2, the Children’s Bureau ‘s Office on Child Abuse and Neglect (OCAN) hosts the 19th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (19th NCCAN) in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference theme is Making Meaningful Connections. The 19th NCCAN also celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA).
OCAN’s National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect has been held biennially since 1976. The only federally-sponsored national conference devoted to the issues of child maltreatment, the conference serves as the nation’s leading training and technical assistance event for practitioners, policy makers, advocates, and researchers.
The 19th NCCAN Mobile App is available for use on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and will enhance participants’ learning experience. It provides conference program information and handouts, session evaluation forms, speaker descriptions, exhibitor information, the hotel floor plan, and general information.
