In the same way as reading piano music, flute music, violin music or guitar music, all require practice; reading drums becomes easier if you practice it on a daily basis.
Knowing how to read music is very useful if you get drum lessons. Being able to understand a music score helps you to get a better understanding of any type of drum beats. Practicing is the key and this app has been created to let you practice reading drums sheet music when you don´t have your drum set. Music notation for electronic drum set is the same.
Just as a piano player becomes better if he practices reading piano sheet music, a drummer becomes better if he practices reading drum sheet music.
This is the free version.
It includes:
- seventy lessons
- seventy quizzes
These exercises correspond to several contemporary music styles for the Drum Set:
- Rock Pop
- Blues Rock
- Jazz
- Funk
- Latin Music
- Fusion
On each Lesson you will see a score and you will listen to what is written on it with animations of the beats and the notes on the staff. You can listen just to the Drum Set by clicking on the light blue button or you can listen to the whole band by clicking the dark blue button.
On each Quiz you have to click on the red rectangle when each of the notes or silences that are marked with red take place. There is a maximum of 10 right guesses per Quiz. We recommend not to go further and review the corresponding Lesson if you don´t get a score minimum of 8 per Quiz.

Would like to see this improved, but so far uninstalling. Will look again to see if sorted. I'd be happy with a functional score to sound app without the play along drum kit., of which there are gerzillions already. Too much Jack of all trades, as it is.

I love this app and they are constantly improving it. I wish there was a paid version, like. $3 one time fee for no ads not extra features just ad free, and that would help with updates, I'd be all for that. All in all though, it does really help with reading music for drums.

Something here! I looked a few years ago and found nothing. However this doesn't actually "teach " anything in my opinion. I am not told what anything is. 16th note etc. I am watching sheet music be played. I know.... watch and learn???? It does nothing when you don't know what you are watching. But thank God for trying!!!! Now I just saw this is not to teach. Ahhhhh still.... good!

I like the idea, but I'm kind of confused as to how the quizzes worked, and I couldn't find a comprehensive guide in app. My score doesn't seem to go up when I hit on the right beats, and I'm pretty sure that I'm doing them on time, though, I guess I can't be 100% confident in the lack of my own fallacy. In any case, it seems a bit finicky to me.

Impossible to use with full-screen ads that pop up and take over. Navigation is horrible. UX needs a ton of work. Would love it otherwise.
