Was brilliant, an update sneakily locked most of the categories and it now demands subscription. Massively disappointing.

Was an amazing app but £5 a month? Ridicules

I'm terrible at learning languages and this little freebie seems to have gotten me off to a good start. Spelling and punctuation, surprise! Be sure to know how to switch your soft keyboard back and forth from English to Latvian...you *will* need the different keys!! Doesn't seem to clear the keyboard away by default, but otherwise, pretty smooth.

Subscription!

This app was fantastic until it wanted AU$8 per month for a subscription. It was nice but not that nice. I'd be willing to pay a lower subscription fee. The app itself is useful for brushing up on Latvian pronunciation and learning how to spell the words that you learn. Perfect for the rusty Latvian speaker like myself.

Translation in Russian is very bad. For example: leg and foot are different parts but in Russian it's translate like "leg" every time, and there is no chance to do exercises properly. So if you start to get 5 Euro per month for this app you should fix it, otherwise there is no sense to use it.

Fabulous

A great app for learning Latvian, and the other Fabulo apps are just as good. However, I 've noticed that sometimes it will have a different solution for the EXACT SAME sentence. Also, you will need to download an external keyboard to write š. EDIT: The pre-installed German QWERTY keyboard has it.

This app is not only easy to use, it holds the attention while teaching through actual usage of the language. It enables a thorough understanding by providing pronunciations, pictures and text with opportunities to match, recall, and use new vocabulary in context, providing opportunities to learn additional words. The activities are engaging and successive lessons intuitively incorporate previously learned material. It's unbelievable how simple acquisition becomes when devoting time to this app.
