LE GRAND INCENDIE

Sur le parking de leur entreprise, dans la cour d’école, devant le centre des impôts ou le Palais de l’Elysée, des hommes et des femmes ont choisi de s’immoler par le feu. Au-delà des faits divers restés sans écho, le Grand Incendie raconte ces actes de contestation extrêmes et confronte la communication officielle à la voix des témoins.


L’interface à double voix du documentaire donne à entendre les témoignages exceptionnels qu’adressent ces hommes et ces femmes à la collectivité et propose d’y confronter les réactions des institutions du pays et le déni de la portée contestataire de ces actes. Reprenant l’esthétique des enregistrements d’un sismographe, les discours se dessinent simultanément sur un rouleau de papier défilant.
A tout moment l’internaute peut cliquer sur la courbe de son choix pour dévoiler l’image associée à ces paroles. Il fraye ainsi son propre chemin sur le sens de cette confrontation des discours.

The dual voice interface documentary suggests outstanding testimony qu'adressent these men and women in the community and proposes to compare the reactions of national institutions and the denial of the protest scope of these acts. Taking the aesthetic of a seismograph records, speeches emerge simultaneously on a roll of paper scroll.
At any time the user can click on the curve of his choice to reveal the picture associated with these words. It thus spawning his own way on the meaning of this confrontation speeches.
