ClefTutor - Music Notes Game for Android
Excellent
C flat in the relevant keys seems to be coded one octave higher than it should be on the treble clef quizzes. Sorry to be a dick with the star rating but it seems like you've abandoned this app - it's a shame you're not bothered fixing such an obvious error.
Plays great on my phone but wont work on my samsung galaxy 3 tablet as you need adobe air and it wont install on tablet a bit dissapointed

Great app for learning
Straight forward, effective app that will have you reading notes and recognising keys as long as you use it regularly. Does not cover rhythm reading though
Does what it says. Might not turn me into Jaco though !!! ;-)
I really enjoyed this app. It helped me to read faster each notes. It would be better if it had chords practice too but it's good enough for beginners like me.

Very useful App to learn and memorize your notes, it's fun and thanks to its thought-out design very easy to use.
Got this on a recommendation for help with learning to sight read. It did exactly that, very well.
Excellent app!! I LOVE it!!!
After trying most apps for practice, I've found this to be the best. It gives you great feedback on the quizzes and it's easy to pick up for a couple of minutes whenever you have some spare time. I use it everywhere and it has improved my ability to read music faster than I could imagine. I am completely satisfied.
This is an excellent set of drills/tests, now quite flawless. (There had been an issue with minor keys, but it's now been addressed, and the publisher was very quick about it. Excellent app, conscientious publisher, so highly recommended.)
This app excels at teaching notes and key signatures. It strikes a perfect balance of game and study-aid. It's really well thought-out and has a very effective syllabus. It runs great (even though it requires adobe air). Please make more music apps such as interval and chord reading.
I've been looking at a LOT of music-note-trainer apps, and this is BY FAR superior to all the others I've tried. To begin with, it offers you a choice of C-D-E-... notation or DO-RE-MI- notation. (this to me is a minimal requirement, something many apps already fail to provide) It has a very clear and clean user interface with exactly what you need. As an extra, it contains a very well structured help and tutorial content, and therefore it functions like an ultra compact Music Theory course. It keeps track of your progress via some extended statistics, and these per individual user you have defined.(up to 4 users) If you're really interested in learning something about music notation, then don't hesitate to buy this app. Frank, using ClefTutor since 4 days.
I'm a beginner, actually i'm taking the first levels of quizzes. and I've found that 20 answers per quiz are very little. The moment I'm getting the rhythm while answering, the quiz suddenly is over. Please add a continuous (answer while you want) mode to quizzes so I can concentrate better in memorizing.
I play bass and saw this app on the study bass website. I never thought learning this stuff could be so fun and addictive. If I don't get the highest rank consistently, then I NEED to keep playing in order to do so. Thanks a lot
Clef tutor is a handy way to learn music wherever you are. It also taught me the circle of fifths in a way that finally made sense.
Thought was good initially with the note tester quiz which is really good but then straight into key signatures and circles of 5ths and I was completely lost. I will keep working with the notes quizzer as it is very good but will abandon the rest. if you already know a lot about music then the rest is probably okay as well
Very good, I got something out of it. Thanks
Sweet little app very useful
Super music theory app; very informative; easy to use; quizzes are perfect for quick music reading and key identification. Highly recommended!
For brushing up on musical knowledge. The ledger line quiz was helpful. Sightreading could be more in depth but it's a good start.
Amazing app, perfect for expanding upon, or laying a foundation for, your knowledge of music theory. I was one of those grossly ubiquitous illiterate guitarists for years. And I remedied that with this interesting and intuitive app, which I'm very thankful for. Great job dev(s), many thanks!
Money well-spent, not much else to say.
Great tutor, thanks for tightening its permissions.

I love all the app! It's great! My problem come with Adobe Air.. I don't want the app require Air for running it.. I have downloaded thousands of apps and this is the first and only one that needs Air to run it.. Fix that, recode from ground up if it's possible. Long time no updates, plus Air requirements = -2 stars. App itself(quality) = 5 stars.
My first time actually learning bass and I'm focusing on technique, theory, and notation. Having the app on my phone is great when I take 5 minute breaks and can go over notation and learning different keys. Kudos! Great website to learn too!
I got this to help learn the alto clef. Even though I played plated piano for a long time and knew the treble clef, I still got a good review on keys and key signatures and the circle of fifths. And I love how there are many different quizzes which can focus on just the space notes or just the line notes or all the notes, among them. It was worth the price alone for his memory aid for remembering the space and line notes of the alto clef! My daughter and I laughed but will now always remember the space and line notes for viola! Good job!

Want to learn to read music to get off the tab. Explains things in such a simple way. I will be practicing every day with this as it has helped so much so far :) well worth the money..
Quickest answer time is not correct. Other performance metrics seem off. Other than that all is good.
App should be available to use in non–landscape mode.
Love the app... in just a few days of using it I can tell I've improved my knowledge significantly
My phone is slow..but nice exercises..
How do I change instrument?
