Cellopark Australia for Android
Didnt work tried twice but it didnt say if it had worked or not. Had to ring support to check (fortunately it had failed and wasnt charging me and i didnt trust it so i didnt get a ticket. ) Not worth the time or effort
Horrible UI and just very unfinished. Some things arn't centred properly, the timer has a black streak across it. As well as looking bad it is also very confusing to use. There is no alert saying you have activated parking or that you have paid for it at least. Please add something to notify that I've paid for parking and also fix the UI it's atrocious.
Worst app I have ever used. Ui horrendous. It is arguable that it is easier then using a meter. On a plus I got to submit 1 star for first time ever so thank you!
Update: When I started the acnt with 2 ph no’s, it didn’t work. Was not able to park 2 diff cars on 2 phones at the same time. Contacted Cellopark a number of times, given a few “fixes” that didn’t work,& was implied I’d mucked it up. They have now manually updated it. So far, we can log into both phones & access different cars. :) Yet to see if we can actually park 2 cars at once on same acnt. If we can, I’ll update. I’m happy Cellopark finally found a fix & got back to me. As I said before-this ap is a great idea. But it’s not easy to use & there are still bugs in the system. Better to concentrate on the UI & making that work than having selfies for the cars we use…Like many things now, bells & whistles seem to get too much attention, when we’d all just prefer the BASIC idea to work. If they get that right, then this will be great. Listening to feedback helps also. Thanks. 29 May 2017-still can't park 2 cars at once. Cellopark have tried to help & I have done as told but still not working. Agree the concept is great-but needs work to be user friendly.
Terrible user experience. Everything is needlessly more complicated than it has to be. Developed by absolute amateurs and not professional businesses people who mean business.
Downloaded this app as recommended by Brisbane City Council. Went through the sign up process and parked my bike in a bike parking zone. Put in the correct zone details for the bike parking area and got charged a car parking rate. Rang support and they said there is no bike parking at that location. I explained there was and they told me to ring the council. Basically Cellopark's database for motorcycle parking is inaccurate. I won't be using it again. I should have read the reviews before I downloaded it.
This app works well in Fremantle where I live. There is one improvement I would like to suggest. I have two vehicles registered in the app and got a fine parking with the wrong vehicle Registration selected. Would it be possible to modify the parking inspector's app so they can see all vehicles registered to that ID in the app? I got the fine reversed using the apps history.
Registration doesn't work properly, the field you type in disappears as you go, I can't login again once I've logged out and it won't let me change the rego of my car. I'm probably going to get a parking fine as we speak as a result.
I have used this app for just 3 hours where the parking rate is 1.5$. But the bill deducted from my account is 12.50$. Not only with me ,my friend who is using this app is also facing the same problems.
This app is terrible and you are forced to use it. Absolutely garbage but you don't have an alternative
Only downloaded this out of necessity. No other logical reason. Cheap app that was sold as the cheapest option to greedy councils and universities.
Tried to transfer to my new phone, app doesn't support app data backup so I'll have to completely reconfigure it on the new phone with info about 4 vehicles. Too hard!
Taking my parking payment at the end of the month instead of per use is an absolute deal breaker. Uninstalling
Used it after my licence plates had changed...didn't save the new plates for some reason and was issued 2 parking fines by Wollongong council for "illegal parking" despite paying for both spots correctly through the app. Council wouldn't acknowledge the payments either and I'm still up for $400 in fines. Amazing.
Terrible app. Convoluted, confusing user interface. Can't tell whether you have successfully paid for parking or not. Can't stand this app and loved the previous app that was used by BCC. Bring back ipark pronto and ditch this amateur app.
Possible the worse commercial app I have ever used. UI is non-intuitive, bloated and does not follow modern mobile design principles. Please hire a UX designer and do a large overhaul of this app.
I have no idea how this app coup possibly take up 104Mb. What junk have you included? What data are you taking?? Forp that is used with such frequency you could at least try to follow some of the established guidelines put forward by the likes of Google. The app is messy, hard to see in direct sunlight, not user-friendly and simply ugly. It still works, the picture idea for car ID is good but way off the mark going for the 'selfy' angle. The app isn't 'cool' and it should never be marketed like that. It is a utility app and will be at its best when designed to meet that.
I've found this app works exactly as advertised with no difficulties. No need to worry about change, and I only pay for the parking time I use. It will only charge up the time when parking fees for an area cease so I've never overpaid for parking. I got the $10 credit via BCC as promised. Easy to sign up and use on a Galaxy S7.
I was in a hurry. Broken machine led me to download the app. Registration was understandable. Then using the app itself was not very strait forward. Confusing design.
It works but the UI is terrible and confusing. The stupid swipe buttons to activate parking etc are not very intuitive. It's fine now that I know how to use it but was confusing at first.
Somehow this became my default QR code scanner, but it doesn't work for any other apps. Why would you do this?
This app uses more than 100Mb of phone only storage, can't move to SD card! This is insane. Please do something about it.
I love the concept. It often won't let me search on the parking zone code, so I still end up having to pay at the meter in the street
Works well for parking in the same place every day. Ui is a bit dated but easy enough to use
Works perfectly for me. Easy, straightforward to select zone and start. Saves me a lot of time compared to using the parking meters.
It's 2017, and the Dev of this app is still wearing diaper.
Why the hell is this 113MB?
41mb... Really?
Had started auto mariculture charging a fee every month for the last three months until even though I am not using their parking nor even my car. Parking was solve in Melbourne, I'm in Perth
Fixed bug
I was required to go through a lengthy sign up process identifying myself, my vehicle, and payment details which took 10 - 15 minutes. Then I discovered the app didn't function with my phone's camera so I wasn't able scan the QR code to submit my payment. In short, complete disregard for the end user.
Clunky, terrible design with irritatingly poor functionality. The buttons on the parking history page are halfway off screen. The front page looks like an advert. I only downloaded this app for the $10 credit promotion on last Dec/Jan - and it didn't even work. I would not recommend this app to anyone.
Not sure why BCC changed over from ipark...This app is very clunky and poorly designed. Doesn't seem like it is a finished product. Go to payment history and dates are all wrong, favourite meter option doesn't work all the time, I could go on but it says to write a short review.
OzPark was so much better than this poor excuse for an app. Can't even register as it says error when there's no error, website is not mobile friendly. There needs to be a better solution to this rubbish. Come on BCC choose a better app company. Look at the crappy ratings. You guys just argue with your customers who have left comments and that's the worst possible way to react to a negative comment. Poor form, poor app and we need a better solution to this nonsense.
Oz Park was so much better. Shame that my local council changed app providers. Dev - for a start get rid of the very annoying iMoved service reminder. Waste of money and screen space. Start responding to your terrible reviews and redesign your app.
App still won't accept my ANU ID, so I have to pay the visitor rate. Cellopark support tells me it's an ANU problem. ANU tells me it's a Cellopark problem. EDIT: Cellopark contacted me after I left this review to explain why they can't change the system to allow this to work in my case. I hear what they're saying but don't really understand why the system is designed this way when they have acknowledged that the long-term permit system, which they also provide, would allow it.
Cannot add second vehicle, hard to search for car park meter. Have to run to the meter to double check as it constantly pickup wrong parking or comes up, not available....
Never opted in for 'premium' service and was charged $2 on the sly. Principal is my main concern here, and you have immediately lost all trust from me by cheaping out on a measly $2. Thanks for nothing.
Using a HTC phone and the app doesn't fit my screen, the three buttons down the bottom are cut off. Very hard to learn to use and I can't see what my prepaid balance is. Wish the parking via text would come back, much easier to use.

The UI is pretty gross, but on a whole it isn't impossible to manage through. I did notice a rather suspicious fee on my bank statement that happened after I made my account. A $1 was charge to me the second I made my account, which I'm not sure if it was mentioned by the app at all since I didn't notice it. I'll trust it for now, but I'd be worried while using the service if I were you. (I wouldn't bother if it wasn't all but necessary to use at my Uni)
