Actualización Científica

La divulgación científica y el proceso de educación continuada constituyen importantes herramientas en el proceso de actualización y mejora profesionales en el área médica. En la cirugía plástica, ese escenario es semejante, sobre todo en nuestro país, que posee diferentes realidades culturales, económicas y geográficas. Además, el cirujano, en vista de las diferentes actividades clínicas y quirúrgicas, encuentra limitaciones al ausentarse por períodos prolongados para frecuentar congresos y cursos de actualización. Paralelamente, identificar y seleccionar
artículos científicos pertinentes a la especialidad y que atiendan las necesidades individuales constituyen obstáculos en el proceso de mejora continua.
Actualmente, la tecnología y la conectividad están directamente asociadas a la actualización constante y a la buena práctica médica. Esa nueva plataforma innovadora es un aplicativo digital, con contenido científico actual y ágil, que le proporciona a los cirujanos actualizaciones técnico-científicas objetivas para la práctica diaria según los principios éticos. Esa herramienta se trata de una publicación electrónica que coloca a disposición varios abstracts traducidos de los artículos indexados de relevantes periódicos médico-científicos internacionales. La opción por artículos indexados se debe al hecho de que éstos ya pasaron por el filtro riguroso del cuerpo editorial (peer-review) y tienen credibilidad asegurada. En esos periódicos, habitualmente los estudios son evaluados en el anonimato durante el proceso de juzgamiento y analizados por, como mínimo, dos juzgadores con especialidad en el área para análisis del mérito científico y de la contribución del estudio. La colocación a disposición de ese contenido en dispositivos móviles permitirá actualizaciones programadas y continuas, y éste será el mejor diferencial en términos de educación médica y actualización constante a los cirujanos plásticos brasileños.

This tool is an electronic publication makes available several translated abstracts of relevant articles indexed medical and scientific journals worldwide. The choice of articles indexed due to the fact that they have gone through the rigorous editorial board filter (peer-review) and have ensured credibility. In those papers, the studies are usually evaluated anonymous during the judging process and analyzed by at least two judges with expertise in the area for analysis of scientific merit and contribution of the study.
