About Division Using Sharing
In this app, a division problem (for instance, 18 ÷ 2 = ) is illustrated by sharing a certain number of apples (18) between a certain number of girls (2). When the student clicks on the first number (18) that many apples (18) appear on the screen. When the student clicks on the second number (2) that many girls (2) with baskets appear. The student then clicks on each apple, which then moves into a girl’s basket. Each apple gets a number when it gets into a basket. The student will be told to click on the last apple in the last basket, which will be blinking (that apple’s number is the answer). That number (9) will rise into the number statement.
