שולחן ערוך המקוצר

הספרים כוללים הלכות פסוקות בעניינים הנחוצים בזמנינו לכל אדם הלכה ולמעשה ומנהגי כל קהילות קודש תימן יע"א, בלדי ושאמי, שמונה כרכים.
יש ספרים ויש ספרים. יש ספרים המיועדים להוגים ולמעיינים בהיכלי הישיבות, שיהודי מן השורה אינו מסוגל לרדת לעומקם. יש ספרים המיועדים מראש לקהל הרחב, ובני התורה אינם מעיינים בהם. אך יש ספרים ייחודיים שזכו והפכו לנחלת הכלל, כאלו הם ספרי "שלחן ערוך המקוצר".

> ספר אור ההלכה

אצטט כאן מדברי מרן הגאון הרב יצחק רצאבי שליט"א בשבח ספר אור ההלכה שיצ"ל במהדורא חדשה בשיעורו השבועי מוצש"ק ראה ה'תשע"ב:
יש לנו כאן את הספר אור ההלכה מהדורא שניה, שיצא לאור ברוך ה' ע"י הרה"ג מאיר ליאור לוי שליט"א, ואכן יש בזה כפליים תושיה. דהיינו, הוא הוסיף כהנה וכהנה על מה שהיה במהדורא הקודמת, גם מבחינת העניינים של חיזוק מנהגינו בארצינו, דברים המחזקים את מנהג קהילות תימן בארץ ישראל והקשור בכך, גם את כל המנהגים לפי סדר משנה ברורה, וגם טוב מראה עיניים, דהיינו יש בסוף הספר תמונות על כל הפרטים שבשו"ע אורח חיים. חלק יורה דעה זהו החלק השני, אבל פה בחלק זה הוא הוסיף ממש הרבה דברים.
תדעו לכם, הוא השקיע פה ממש המון. כי עברו על זה רבים, גם אני בעצמי עברתי על הספר, ולא ויתרתי לו אפילו על קוצו של יו"ד. הוא השקיע והפסיד פה הרבה כסף, אמרתי לו שאלו דברים שמנציחים לדורות, וכל דבר קטן חייב להיות מדוייק. והוא שינה עוד פעם ועוד פעם, החליף תמונה ושוב תמונה, פעם ועוד פעם, עד שברוך ה' יצא דבר מתוקן. הוא ממש לא חס על כספו, בכדי שיצא דבר שאכן יהיה ניתן ללמוד ממנו, גם מבחינת הדברים הכתובים וגם מבחינת הציורים. הדיוק פה הוא בכל דבר ודבר, והספר ממש מנופה בשלש עשרה נפה.

בשנים האחרונות רבו סוגי המכשירים הממוחשבים, הנמצאים בכל מקום, מה שגרם שפותחו הרבה סוגי אפליקציות עבור שומר תורה ומצוות, ואף ספרי הלכות ישנם לרוב. האפליקציות הם בעיקר לבני שאר ק"ק לספרדים ואשכנזים, וכאן באה דרישה מהציבור ק"ק תימני לפתח אפליקציה לספר שולחן ערוך המקוצר, אשר השימוש בו נחוץ מאוד להם מידי יום יום.
