MTF: Number and Operations

Math Trek: Number and Operations Fundamentals is a collection of 53 engaging math activities supporting common-core learning and review of the fundamentals originally presented in K-3 for students at the Grade 4 level and up. Students explore and learn mathematical concepts in creative settings, such as the dinosaur world, a restaurant, a pirate ship, and another planet. Mr. Pascal, named after the famous French mathematician Blaise Pascal, serves as a guide for this easy to use app.

o Demonstrate 1:1 correspondence between numbers and objects. Count the number of objects in a set (5-10). Estimate quantity in everyday life.

o Count forward 1 - 50. Count backwards by 1’s from 20. Locate whole numbers to 50 on a number line or partial number line.
· Number and Operations, Math Trek Number and Operations Fundamentals: Pirate Ships
o Recall addition and subtraction facts to 18. Mentally add and subtract one and two digit numbers.
