About Language Trek Grade 2 Part 2
Language Trek 2 (Part 1 and 2) is a collection of 33 engaging English language arts activities supporting common-core learning for students in kindergarten. Shakespeare, a helpful dog, serves as a guide for this easy to use app. Activities take place at various locations within the Language Land Theme Park.
The Locations within the Language Land Theme Park
Park Play: The focus is placed on letters and sounds. Included are identification of letters, the use of uppercase and lowercase letters, and beginning, middle and final sounds, including long and short vowels.
Animal World: This location focuses on words. Spelling, vocabulary, word identification, and formation of plurals are included.
Under the Sea: This location focusses on sentences. The formation of simple sentences, punctuation, and techniques to add detail are included.
Ride Along: In the location, the focus is on composing. Simple messages, stories, notes, and lists are included. The writing process is introduced with pre-writing activities (e.g. webs) and editing techniques.

Write simple messages using a combination of pictures, symbols, letters, phonetic spellings and familiar words.
