The PiXL Maths App (PMA) is a skills based assessment program. The app successfully highlights your strengths and your areas to develop. This is a very useful and accurate tool to use prior to any test to help rank which revision topics are of the most importance.
The app is setup in such a way to guide you through a wide range of Mathematical topics. The PMA assesses generic skill based Mathematical knowledge; it therefore suitably matches the AQA, Edexcel or OCR schemes of learning.
INSTRUCTIONS:
After installation, you are presented with a login screen. You will need to create your own account following the on screen instructions. Keep your login details safe as all future results will be stored under your account. This incredibly powerful tool then helps you to start identifying areas you need to revise. By answering each of the online questions, the app highlights the objectives you have successfully completed and which ones you will need to work on. After some targeted revision, you can then return back to the app to see if you have improved. With each access, the questions are refreshed so you can assess yourself with a similar problem but with different numbers.
To aid with closing the gap, therapy videos can be found within in question to help target specific skills.
Take a challenge - select your target grade and you will be given a bespoke program of questions to help you achieve it.

It is extremely slow and laggy the keyboard can cover the whole phone screen. However, it can help with revision if you computer is broken and you don't have any other revision resources.

Inaccessible for blind users, so blind students cannot access it for revision. The law states that apps and web sites should be accessible. and I find this totally unacceptable. Accessibility should be considered from app inception and integrated into the development process

Absolutely terrible application, i can appreciate that making an app is difficult but this is astonishingly bad, I'm so disappointed my school decided to invest in this poor excuse for a revision resource. The maths is there, the software is not. It is not user friendly and constantly crashes and forces you to have paper besides you with a calculator just so you can get the answer right to considerable decimal places.

Simply a bad programme. In all fairness it has it's pros. Some being it is a very good revision tool.. What isn't useful is being told your answer is wrong because the code doesn't recognise a character or number correctly

This app has changed my life. I was walking down the street and saw my immigrant of a teacher who recommend this app to me, I was like "whoa" she had told me that the app had been created for greatness so I decided to kill my self...(that's how my life changed)...

Because maths. End of story. Also the lag is painful and is worse than ubisoft potato servers on release day. The keyboard takes up the whole screen because the app forces the screen to be landscape which means you have to keep on going in and out of the keyboard to see what you are doing.
