A água representa de 40% a 80% do peso total do ser humano, e funções vitais dos órgãos dependem dela para realizar-se plenamente.

Para suprir todas as necessidades do organismo é preciso tomar, em média, dois litros de água todos os dias, pois, ao longo do dia, estima-se que perdemos aproximadamente dois litros de água por meio da transpiração, urina, respiração e outras atividades que mantêm as funções vitais. Sendo assim, é essencial que a sua reposição seja diária para manter a saúde e as funções básicas do organismo.

O aplicativo "Água é Vida" foi desenvolvido com o intuito de notificar o usuário a tomar água a cada uma hora do dia, sendo assim a partir das 09:00 horas até as 22:00 horas será exibida uma notificação que irá orientar o usuário a tomar 200 ml de água a cada hora passada, ao clicar na notificação o usuário será redirecionado para tela de consumo do app onde sera apresentado uma mensagem de consumo, se acaso o usuário clicar em 'sim' ficara registrado o consumo diário até as 24:00 horas do dia corrente, passado a hora o consumo será zerado e no dia seguinte começará tudo novamente, caso clique em 'não' o app será fechado.
