الشيخ مشارى راشد العفاسي امام وخطيب بالمسجد الكبير .. ولد بدولة الكويت يوم الاحد 11 رمضان 396 هجريه
الموافق 5 سبتمبر 1976 ميلادى

درس بالجامعة الاسلامية بالمدينة النبوية / كلية القران والدراسات الاسلامية التخصص القراءات العشر والتفسير

تتلمذ على يد الشيخ احمد عبد العزيز الزيات
وايضا الشيخ ابراهيم السمنودى والذى نسب اسمه لاحد المتون العلمية للتلاوات وهى التحفة السمنودية يؤم الشيخ مشارى العفاسي كل عام المصلين فى شهر رمضان بالمسجد الكبير وعدة دول بالخليج واوربا

أنشد الشيخ مشارى العفاسي بعدة لغات منها الانجيليزية والفرنسية واخيرا نشيدة رحمن باللغة الروسية
يشرف الشيخ مشارى العفاسي على أكاديمية للقرآن الكريم بانجلترا

ولوالد شيخنا العفاسى تاثير قوى فى شخصيتة وميوله لتلاوة القران وعلوم الدين والمقامات

يهتم شيخنا المنشد بالخط العربى وله بعض المخطوطات الاسلامية
وايضا بالهندسة الصوتية والتى درسها قارئنا دراسة اكاديمية بالولايات المتحدة الامريكية ويمارسها فى جميع أعماله واصداراته
السباحة وكذلك يهوى من الرياضيات رياضة
